  1. The profile¡¯s end angle is 45¡ãafter the first cutting, with an allowance of ¡À0.5¡ã.
  2. The profile¡¯s end angle is 90¡ã after the second cutting, with an allowance of ¡À0.5¡ã
  3. The deflection allowance between the profile¡¯s end sharp corner with the centerline is ¡À0.5mm
  4. The length of profile prepared is in accordance with the design requirements with an allowance of ¡À0.5mm
  5. The perpendicularity of the structural member¡¯s cutting faces and the profile¡¯s two sides is guaranteed. Clean the welding surface to be free from water, grease, scraps and other foreign matters after welding.
  1. Profile preparation for V notches

1, Equipment selection
V notch is cut on Vnotch slitting saw.

2, Cutting

When the windows and doors are fabricated in accordance with the dimensions on the design order, the depth of V notch in small face of the profile is: half of the small face width of the mullion to be welded minus the welding allowance. For example, when a Yatai 60 series profile is welded with SE76, the depth of V notch on BR60¡¯s small face is 36/2-3=15mm. The cutting of V notch is shown as figure 1-2

After cutting, the first piece is inspected by three people, followed by random inspection. All structural members must meet following technical requirements after cutting.

  1. Angle allowance for V notch after cutting: ¡À0.3¡ã.
  2. Depth allowance for V notch after cutting: ¡À0.5mm
  3. The perpendicularity of the structural member¡¯s cutting faces and the profile¡¯s two sides is guaranteed. Clean the welding surface to be free from water, grease, scraps and other foreign matters after welding.

¢ô. Calculation of profile prepared for windows and doors
During the calculation of profile prepared for windows and doors, the original dimension of windows and doors, overlaps between the frame and sash and the consumed allowance when the structural members are welded are mainly taken into consideration. Then, the lengths of all structural members are calculated in accordance with the matching relation between the frame and sash.

1, Calculation of profile prepared for casement windows and door

An overlap is the dimension of the overlapped part between the frame and sash at the side where the frame overlaps with the sash, YATAI profile¡¯s overlap¡Ý8mm.

Now take Yatai 60 series profile as an example, as shown in figure 1-3, to explain the calculation of profiles prepared for major structural members of the inward opening casement windows (mullion) (the overlap is 8mm and welding allowance at both ends is 3mm).
Width of profiles prepared for the frame=fabrication width of the casement windows+3x2-----------------2 pieces.
Height of profiles prepared for the frame=fabrication height of the casement windows+3x2-----------------2 pieces.
Height of profiles prepared for frame and mullion=fabrication height of the casement windows+(width of the mullion¡¯s big side-width of the frame¡¯s big side)x2+3x2----------------1 piece
Width of profiles prepared for the sash=fabrication width of the casement windows/2-(width of the frame¡¯s small side-overlap)-(half width of the small side of the mullion-overlap)+3x2-----4 pieces
Height of the profiles prepared for the sash=fabrication height of the casement windows-(width of the frame¡¯s small side-overlap)x2+3x2----4 pieces.

Now take Yatai 80 series sliding window as an example, as shown in figure 1-4, to show the calculation of profiles prepared for its major structural members(the overlap is 8mm and welding allowance at both ends is 3mm).

Profiles prepared for major structural members of 80 series two-equal-sash sliding windows are calculated as follows:

Width of profiles prepared for the frame=fabrication width of the sliding windows+3x2----------------------------2 pieces
Height of profile prepared for the frame=fabrication height of the sliding windows+3x2----------------------------2 pieces
Width of profiles prepared for the sash=fabrication width of the sliding windows/2-(height of the frame profile-overlap)+(width of sash profile-thickness of the guard sheet)/2+3x2------------4 pieces
Height of the profiles prepared for the sash=fabrication height of the sliding windows-(height of the frame profile-overlap)x2+3x2-----4 pieces.

Profiles prepared for structural members of 80 series three-equal-sash sliding windows are calculated as follows:

Width of profiles prepared for the frame=fabrication width of the sliding windows +3x2-------------------2 pieces.
Height of profiles prepared for the frame=fabrication height of the sliding windows+3x2--------------------2 pieces
Width of profiles prepared for the sash=¡¾fabrication width of the sliding windows-(height ot the frame profile-overlap)x2+(width of sash profile-thickness of the guard sheet)x2¡¿ /3+3x2--------------6 pieces
Height of the profiles prepared for the sash=fabrication height of the sliding windows-(width of the frame profile-overlap)x2+3x2---------6 pieces.

Profiles prepared for structural members of 80 series sliding windows(one big sash and two small sashes-the two small sashes have same width with the big sash after opening) are calculated as follows:

Width of profiles prepared for the frame=fabrication width of the sliding windows+3x2-----------------------2 pieces
Height of profiles prepared for the frame=fabrication height of the sliding windows+3x2-----------------------2 pieces
Width of profiles prepared for the big sash=¡¾fabrication width of the sliding windows-(height of the frame profile-overlap)x2+(width of sash profile-thickness of the guard sheet)x2¡¿/2+thickness of crescent lock+3x2---------2 pieces
Height of the profiles prepared for the sash=fabrication height of the sliding windows-(height of the frame profile-overlap)x2+3x2------6 pieces

As shown in figure 1-5, the height of cap in the sliding window should be 3-5mm lower than that of the sliding window sash.

The profiles for sliding windows and doors cover a wide scope, including 73, 80, 88, 95, etc. The profiles of different series have different section size and shapes. Relevant adjustment should be carried out in accordance with the section size of actual profiles and overlap when calculation the size of profiles prepared for structural members of windows and doors.
